Mara Hair&Beauty, a custom-designed salon

Mara Hair&Beauty, a custom-designed salon

Every salon begins with an idea. Mara Hair&Beauty, in Mantua, was born from a clear vision: to create a coherent, functional space capable of supporting every phase of the service.

The project was developed entirely bespoke by the Takara Belmont team, in collaboration with designer Rossella Cornacchia. It was a shared design process in which layout, equipment, and operational workflows were conceived together from the very beginning.

A project built around real needs

The space is generous, bright, and essential. Light surfaces interact with natural wood, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Every element was designed to respond to a concrete need: client comfort, professional ergonomics, and fluid movement.

All furnishings were custom-made by Takara Belmont. This made it possible to adapt volumes, proportions, and materials to the architectural characteristics of the space, without compromise.

“The interior project transcends its functional purpose to become a sensory experience. At the heart of the concept lies the transformation of light: no longer merely a technical requirement, but a design element capable of expanding volumes and revealing the materiality of surfaces. Mirrors multiply natural light into a spatial continuum, while the soft, contemporary colour palette and the research into textures give the space a sophisticated character and refined formal coherence.”

Explains the designer.

Integrating equipment as part of the design

At Mara Hair&Beauty, equipment is not an addition but an integral part of the project.

The One defines the Head SPA area with an essential and contemporary presence, becoming part of a space designed for relaxation yet seamlessly connected to the rest of the salon. Its integration into the layout has made it possible to maintain clean lines, ensure correct working posture, and organise water, lighting, and circulation to guarantee continuity, comfort, and operational quietness.

“The One represents the intersection between technique and multifunctionality: more than a chair, it is a cabin conceived as a transformative, bespoke space where the individual returns to the centre.”

Roller Ball F provides advanced support for colour and treatment services. Its presence contributes to a more efficient management of time.

“The integration of The One, the Head SPA area, and the Roller Ball required the design of intimate, transformable spaces. The technical area becomes an oasis of time, where performance and comfort coexist in balance.”

Shared design: architecture and technique in dialogue

One of the central aspects of the project was the collaboration between architecture and technical expertise. Working bespoke meant aligning proportions, systems, workflows, and business objectives.

The opportunity to develop customised furnishings with the Takara Belmont team made the project more coherent and effective, avoiding standard solutions that would have been adapted at a later stage.

“The collaboration with the Takara Belmont team was strategic: developing entirely custom-made furnishings allowed us to translate the design vision into tailored solutions, where technique and aesthetics dialogue in coherence.”

says Rossella.

Building a salon around the people who live it

Mara Hair&Beauty demonstrates how a space can emerge from listening: to the owner’s needs, to the characteristics of the space, and to the team’s operational methods.

We support every phase of the process, from initial analysis to technical design, through to the creation of bespoke furnishings and the integration of equipment.
